The Founders

In 1988, Cliff and Diane Clark saw the need for a preschool that provided children with the love and attention that they need to grow into healthy individuals. They understood that a child doesn’t learn like an adult does—everything a child does is vital to their education, from playtime to group activities to mealtime.

To develop intellectually, physically, emotionally, and socially, children needed teachers who would become an extension of the care and affection they received at home. That’s why Discovery Point was founded.

The Clarks developed this child care franchise group from the ground up. They have been committed from the very beginning to provide the best child care possible. Every detail, from the proprietary facility design to developing the foundation of their curriculum, was meticulously refined and implemented by Cliff and Diane.

Sadly, Diane passed away in 2012, leaving behind a legacy of changed lives all over the United States. As an educator in both public and private sectors, her commitment to improving children’s lives continues today. Though she has passed, her work and her vision live on.

Today, Cliff continues to guide the organization by adopting new technologies, acquiring the latest in security advancements, and providing resources for program development––all to ensure a superior child care experience in the safest possible environment.

Discovery Point Corporate Staff

The franchise staff at Discovery Point is a constant source of support for the franchisees. Key staff members have been part of the founding team for many years. It is through their dedication that the organization maintains an outstanding child care and educational development program.

The staff includes:

  • Licensed Broker – site selection and development
  • Professional Civil Engineer (PE) – oversees construction of centers
  • Franchise Development – assists in franchise sales and resales
  • Franchise Support Personnel – assist in licensing, training, marketing and ongoing franchise support
  • Accounting – assists in all accounting functions
  • Quality Assurance (QA) Personnel – conduct monthly center visits to maintain the quality of Centers and assist franchisees in daily operations
